Join us for a community event celebrating a section of our Valley’s history that is not commonly viewed. Our beloved iconic Hippie, Henley Henn Haus, 1st waded into the Tolt River in 1970. Over the next 4 decades he became an integral part of our community’s culture, celebrations & history. Henley was a marvelous photographer & during his time here he documented countless aspects throughout our community. Henley also was an avid creator. He hosted countless events on his beloved property up Tolt River Rd from music festivals, potlucks, weddings, campouts, & tours through the property he coined “The Yard Art Gallery” which showcased the over 200 wood sculpters that Valley local, Kenny Chapman, carved with his chainsaw. Henley also hosted a Beach Volleyball tournement every Sunday from May to October for 26 years. Which he coined, “Valleyball.” At this point, the property, known now as “Club Tolt” has influenced thousands of lives. From longtime locals, to new Valley residents, to people just passing through. On April 8th, we’ll journey back in time to an era of The Valley not seen by many. We’ll have a slide show depicting the journey of The Valley from this era, we’ll have local art on display that Henley created through collaboration with a number of local artists & musicians. We’d love to see you there. Massive thanks to Millers in Carnation for providing space for this event.
