Nancy released two independent full album recordings in 1996 and again in 2000.  In recent years she has channeled her passion for music as the owner of Miller’s Events. \nWillow Scrivner is a Seattle-based songwriter and one half of the indie folk duo Willow & Wood with Kevin Wood. Her music drifts between landscapes—reverb-soaked tones born in the Pacific Northwest\, carried into seven years in Nashville where they settled into the slow weight of southern humidity. Her voice—often compared to Emmylou Harris and Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays—carries a quiet clarity and ache\, anchoring songs that feel both intimate and expansive. \nFrom her first open-mic performances at Seattle’s O.K. Hotel to her appearances at Benaroya Hall\, J.R. Rhodes’s music blends the spiritual\, folk\, and blues traditions with her own lived experience to highlight and honor reflection\, resilience\, belonging\, and the healing power of music. A graduate of Wesleyan University with a B.A. in music composition\, she continues on today to challenge herself and grow creatively in music.
