SUMMARY:Kendl Winter and John Riziki - Record Release
DESCRIPTION:Primarily known as one half of the Americana duo The Lowest Pair\, Kendl is also a prolific collaborator and solo artist.  Arkansas born\, Winter honed her distinctive blend of country\, bluegrass\, and lo-fi indie folk in the late 2000s as a member of folk-punk band the Pasties\, followed by stints throughout the next decade as part of bands like bluegrass quartet Blackberry Bushes\, Americana duo Southern Skies\, indie rock outfit It’s All Gotta Go\, and the afore mentioned duo The Lowest Pair. A multi-instrumentalist best known for her banjo playing\, Winter has recorded several well-received solo albums for Olympia’s K Records\, including 2013’s “It Can Be Done!”\, before joining the roster of Team Love Records for 2018’s “Stumbler’s Business”. \nKendl Winter’s upcoming album “Banjo Mantras” began as a way to connect with her fans and peers by sharing her daily melodic meditations and explorations on the clawhammer banjo.  Kendl found that the daily practice of creating and sharing her “mantras” led to further inspiration and was moved to expand upon these ideas and ultimately record them. \n  \n John Riziki is a singer-songwriter from Accra\, Ghana living in Seattle\, WA. John immigrated to the USA with his family at just 5 years old. Growing up in different cultures gave John a unique perspective to share. First writing songs as a teenager to better navigate and reflect on his experiences. John is now releasing his music into the world\, sharing the stories and moments that shaped him\, in hopes that everyone can relate them to their own. \n*Tickets are nonrefundable\, unless show is cancelled\, or rescheduled.  If you cannot attend a show\, tickets can be transferred from purchaser to another individual\, or individuals. Tickets purchased for a specific event cannot be transferred to a different event. \nBeer\, wine\, and non-alcoholic beverages available.  Food can be brought in from area restaurants.  No outside drinks please. \nAll ages.

SUMMARY:Zan Fiskum (full band) with special guest Ollella
DESCRIPTION:Zan Fiskum was raised in the small town of Maple Valley\, WA where she spent most of her time either running barefoot in the forest or volunteering with her family at a local dinner theater\, both of which inspired her to make the music she is today. Her angelic voice soars over her soulful and ethereal storytelling. Reminiscent of artists Lana Del Ray and Brandi Carlile\, she blends the lines between indie/pop and americana/folk as she writes about childhood trauma\, the intricacies of family dynamics\, connection to the natural world as well as a fan-favorite: love. \nOLLELLA’s career as a musician started early\, when she sang before she could talk.  She has since created a life as a multidisciplinary artist as an indie-folk cellist\, vocalist\, and songwriter. Trained as a classical cellist since the age of nine\, the Seattle musician merges her technical background with authoritative vocals\, live-looping\, and improvisation. Described as “really outstanding” by NPR Music’s Bob Boilen and “so tastefully done” by Michelle Zauner (AKA Japanese Breakfast)\, Ollella blends the acoustic with the contemporary\, folk with pop\, and tenacity with softness. \nAll ages.

SUMMARY:National Guitar - A Tribute to Paul Simon w/ Jenner Fox Band
DESCRIPTION:NATIONAL GUITAR is a Paul Simon tribute band featuring Pacific Northwest all stars musicians from Polecat\, Petty or Not\, Skillethead\, and the Jenner Fox Band. The ensemble was formed on a fateful election night when they found themselves listening to “American Tune” and discovered a mutual reverence for Paul Simon. National Guitar performs a range of Simon’s music from Garfunkle to Graceland and everywhere in between. Come prepared to sing along\, groove\, and celebrate some of the finest music from a true American original. \nThe five-piece band features piano\, organ\, electric guitar\, bass\, dobro\, acoustic guitar\, and layered vocal harmony. With decades of arranging and touring under their belts\, National Guitar brings new life to Simon’s beloved catalog. \nJENNER FOX BAND  \nThere is something that happens inside a good song. A tootsie roll can take you back to your elementary school playground; a list of baby names becomes a prayer; the voice of a toothless refrigerator man reminds you to say “I love you.” Jenner Fox tells the stories of people and places with unparalleled compassion and respect. His artful tone\, poetry\, and fluency on his guitar do something only the brave ones do: let us in. \nAll ages. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Sera Cahoone with guest Betsy Olson
DESCRIPTION:Sera Cahoone is a long way from home. Growing up the daughter of a dynamite salesman in the Colorado foothills\, she got her start on the drums at 11. A year later\, her skills had become so promising\, her mom started taking her to dive bars to sit in with the scruffy old bluesmen. By the time she even picked up a guitar\, she had been so shaped by these things – the dynamite\, the blues\, the woods and the hills – it’s no surprise she went on to earn a reputation as one of the strongest songwriters in Seattle’s ever-vibrant Americana scene. \nShe moved north in 1998 to open a snowboard/skateboard shop but quickly found herself backing lo-fi outfit Carissa’s Weird on drums. Since that band split in ‘03\, she’s lent her sticks to folks as variant as Carolina rockers Band of Horses\, Seattle blues chick Betsy Olson\, and singer-songwriter Patrick Park. But in 2006 she struck out on her own with a self-titled debut which immediately scored praise from local and national tastemakers alike. \nBetsy Olson is a blues guitarist and vocalist originally from Montana but currently based in Seattle. From the early blues legacies to Jimi Hendrix\, Olson imbues her own modern take\, owning her own Lonely Woman Blues. Her all-women\, blues and rock band\, The Betsy Olson Band\, reminds listeners that women were the first people to record the blues and is evocative of its early revolutionaries. Olson has been featured on recordings with Sera Cahoone\, Moe Provencher\, Rebecca Young among others. \n*Tickets are nonrefundable\, unless the show is cancelled\, or rescheduled.  If you cannot attend a show\, tickets can be transferred from the purchaser to another individual\, or individuals. Tickets purchased for a specific event cannot be transferred to a different event. \nBeer\, wine\, and non-alcoholic beverages are available.  Food can be brought in from area restaurants.  No outside drinks please. \n
