SUMMARY:Visuals by Henn Haus III
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community event celebrating a section of our Valley’s history that is not commonly viewed. Our beloved iconic Hippie\, Henley Henn Haus\, 1st waded into the Tolt River in 1970. Over the next 4 decades he became an integral part of our community’s culture\, celebrations & history. Henley was a marvelous photographer & during his time here he documented countless aspects throughout our community. Henley also was an avid creator. He hosted countless events on his beloved property up Tolt River Rd from music festivals\, potlucks\, weddings\, campouts\, & tours through the property he coined “The Yard Art Gallery” which showcased the over 200 wood sculpters that Valley local\, Kenny Chapman\, carved with his chainsaw. Henley also hosted a Beach Volleyball tournement every Sunday from May to October for 26 years. Which he coined\, “Valleyball.” At this point\, the property\, known now as “Club Tolt” has influenced thousands of lives. From longtime locals\, to new Valley residents\, to people just passing through. On April 8th\, we’ll journey back in time to an era of The Valley not seen by many. We’ll have a slide show depicting the journey of The Valley from this era\, we’ll have local art on display that Henley created through collaboration with a number of local artists & musicians. We’d love to see you there. Massive thanks to Millers in Carnation for providing space for this event. \nDoors @ 6pm\, Show @ 7pm. All Ages & all ages must purchase a ticket. SUMMARY:Sera Cahoone with Les Ailes
DESCRIPTION:Americana singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone grew up in the Colorado foothills. The daughter of a dynamite salesman\, she played her first gigs on drums in a dive bar’s open blues jams at 12. As a young adult\, she moved to Seattle where she played drums with the adored indie rock group\, Carissa’s Wierd\, and later Band of Horses. She then went on to release four solo records\, two with Sub Pop. In 2019\, Cahoone received a Gold Record for her work with Band of Horses. \nCahoone has earned great praise from KEXP\, NPR series Tiny Desk Concert\, First Listen and Songs We Love. Her work has been featured on UPROXX\, ELLE and KEXP. But not only do her songs ring out in rooms of mile-high castles and the edges of sprawling forests\, Cahoone is beloved by her fans. Her audiences are filled with the curious\, the seekers\, and those who just want to hear sing once more\, “I wanna be your sidewalk / I’ll take you everywhere/ We’ll travel ‘round this world a million times.” \nSera Cahoone \nLes Ailes is a music project by American singer-songwriter Rylie DeGarmo\, who moved to Nashville in 2016 to pursue music after cowriting an EP with her musician father at home in Seattle\, eponymously titled “The Rue” (2015). \nOver five years and five states later\, the nomadic songbird returned to her hometown with a full-length debut record written in the south and recorded by Mike McCarthy (Spoon\, Carson McHone). This LP\, “Tennessee” (2020)\, is a tale of the many travels—both highways and heartstrings—that pushed Rylie to the south and held her there. \nReunited with her father in their home studio in the fall of 2021\, Rylie brought a new batch of songs to Les Ailes in the form of a four-song EP titled “But I Love You” (2022). Of the EP\, Rylie notes\, “it’s a small portrait of the last 9 months\, which for me were a coalescing of the home(s) I’ve left\, returned to\, and created within myself.” \n*Tickets are nonrefundable\, unless show is cancelled\, or rescheduled.  If you cannot attend a show\, tickets can be transferred from purchaser to another individual\, or individuals. Tickets purchased for a specific event cannot be transferred to a different event. \nBeer\, wine\, and non-alcoholic beverages available.  Food can be brought in from area restaurants.  No outside drinks please. \nAll ages. \n

SUMMARY:Willow + Wood and Reggie Garrett with Christine Gunn
DESCRIPTION:Willow + Wood is Scrivner and Kevin Wood\, a married couple who create a sonic landscape of both solitude and beauty\, hovering between the warmth of Americana and the cool darkness of dream pop. The band’s music is transcendent: both a study of the geography of place\, and the constant search for home. Their songs ache with both hope and a broken heart. Those contradictions are at the core of what makes the band so special. Falling somewhere between indie pop and indie folk\, they have created a sound rooted in a West Coast reverb-drenched loneliness\, dripping with southern humidity and darkness – and determined to find the magic. \nReggie Garrett is the purveyor of a unique urban strain of (mostly) acoustic music incorporating a number of diverse influences\, including: Folk\, Latin rhythms\, Blues\, Gospel\, Celtic\, Rock\, Jazz and more. His sound has strong rhythmic underpinnings\, beginning with Garrett’s almost percussive guitar style. His singing reflects the folk/rock/gospel traditions with which he grew up. His voice sets a mood and carries the audience deeply into his songs.  Garrett’s new CD release\, York’s Lament & other stories recently entered the top ten at #5 on the NACC Folk Music radio chart. \nFor this performance Reggie will be joined by cellist Christine Gunn. Ms. Gunn has performed extensively throughout the Northwest and Europe with Seattle legends The Walkabouts\, and as a founding member of the classically influenced acoustic trio Trillian Green. Her decades-long career includes a stint in grunge-era Seattle\, during which she shared the stage and studio with members of Sunny Day Real Estate\, Nirvana\, and Pearl Jam. She is a self-taught musician whose original compositions have accompanied independent films and performance pieces at festivals worldwide. \n*Tickets are nonrefundable\, unless show is cancelled\, or rescheduled. \nAll ages
